2009 JTM at Pinehurst, North Carolina - Day One

On Sunday, May 31st, 20 foursomes boarded a private charter for the charity golf tournament of a life time - two days and 3 rounds of golf at the famed Pinehurst resort in North Carolina.
The group flew directly into Southern Pines airport on this Air Inuit 737.
This is an actual picture of our flight taking from Toronto!!

Once aboard the aircraft, the group was treated to a delicious hot breakfast.

And even got to sample some Inuit tea!

Need the flight attendant? Just push the "Inuit" themed call button.

Derek Guile and Karl Vokey enjoyed their "business class" seating!

Upon arrival at Southern Pines, guests collected their golf clubs and headed straight for Pinehurst shuttles that took them directly to the golf course!

The search is on for any last minute necessities from their luggage before it was whisked away to the hotel to be directly delivered to their rooms.

Has everyone got their golf clubs?

If so, follow me and we're off to Pinehurst!

The Evening Reception

Having been shuttled directly from Southern Pines Airport to course No. 6, the first glimpse our guests got of the magnificant Carolina Hotel was on the drive back to the hotel following their round.

What better way to celebrate a day of golf at Pinehurst then with a bevvy on the gorgeous wrapround Kendall front porch over looking a practice green?

Some of our guests, like last years champs, chose to use this time to get in a little extra putting practice.

While others took the opportunity to lounge in a rocking chair and unwind.

The group from Loyalty One.

The BMO Capital Markets Team.

After the reception, the group moved into the South dining room for a lovely dinner and the highlight of the evening: The Reverse Draw for a brand new 2010 Toyota Matrix.

Winning this grand prize has NOTHING to do with golfing ability.

In a reverse draw, you DON'T want to hear your name for once it's chosen - you're out!

Judging from the smiles at this table, quite a few of these gentlemen must have still been in the running for a brand new car!

TSN sports caster Dave Randorf returned as our guest MC this year and revved up the crowd.

In the end, only one person was left standing - John FitzGerald.
Congratulations John on winning the car!!!!
